Sertifikasi kompetensi adalah proses formal yang menilai dan mengukur pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kemampuan seseorang dalam suatu bidang tertentu sesuai dengan standar atau kriteria tertentu. Sertifikasi ini mencerminkan bahwa individu yang bersangkutan memiliki tingkat kompetensi yang diakui dan diukur oleh lembaga atau organisasi yang bersangkutan.
Proses sertifikasi kompetensi biasanya melibatkan evaluasi yang teliti terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang relevan dengan pekerjaan atau bidang tertentu. Standar kompetensi ini dapat bervariasi tergantung pada jenis sertifikasi dan sektor industri yang bersangkutan. Sertifikasi kompetensi dapat diberikan oleh lembaga pendidikan, organisasi profesi, atau badan sertifikasi yang memiliki otoritas di bidang tersebut.
Pentingnya sertifikasi kompetensi terletak pada upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan profesionalisme dalam suatu bidang. Individu yang memperoleh sertifikasi kompetensi dianggap memiliki kualifikasi yang dapat diandalkan dalam melaksanakan tugas atau pekerjaan tertentu. Sertifikasi ini juga dapat memberikan manfaat dalam pengembangan karir, meningkatkan kepercayaan pelanggan atau klien, dan menciptakan standar yang konsisten dalam suatu industri atau profesi.
SMK Al Madani telah melaksanakan kegiatan sertifikasi kompetensi siswa dengan meteri uji Skema Okupasi Office Administrasi kelas XI dan XII jurusan Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Perkantoran pada tanggal 26 Oktober 2023 dengan Assesor dari LSP dan syukur alhamdulillah berjalan dengan lancar.
