Kolaborasi antara sektor industri dan dunia pendidikan, terutama Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), menjadi sangat signifikan, terutama pada masa ini. Sektor pendidikan kini memiliki tugas yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman teknologi dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk memenuhi permintaan dari sektor industri.
Kerjasama yang efektif dan saling menguntungkan memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam mendukung pencapaian program sekolah. Pengembangan sekolah dapat mencapai hasil yang lebih optimal apabila kerjasama dengan instansi terkait di dunia usaha/industri yang relevan dengan kompetensi keahlian diresmikan melalui MOU/kesepahaman/naskah perjanjian kerjasama.
Pelaksanaan kerjasama dengan dunia usaha/industri mencakup beberapa aspek. Pertama-tama, validasi isi adalah tahap awal yang melibatkan penyelarasan antara kegiatan pembelajaran yang termasuk dalam struktur kurikulum dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Tujuannya adalah agar sekolah dapat mempersiapkan perangkat kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kompetensi keahlian yang diberikan untuk divalidasi oleh industri. Hal ini memungkinkan sekolah untuk menerima masukan dari pihak dunia usaha/industri yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam bentuk kurikulum yang sesuai dengan praktik industri.
Mengacu pada pentingnya kerjasama antara DUDI dan Sekolah, sebagai bentuk upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), SMK Al Madani Garut pada tanggal 14 September 2023 telah mendapatkan kunjungan dari perusahaan PT Tripilar Indonesia Makmur sekaligus melaksanakan seminar dan workshop kewirausahaan bagi siswa-siswi SMK Al Madani Garut serta Staf, Guru SMK Al Madani Garut. Tidak hanya sampai disitu SMK Al Madani dan PT Tripilar Indonesia Makmur juga telah menandatangani kesepakatan Morandum of Understanding (MoU) untuk tahun 2023-2028.
